Leona,

You have your facts wrong. Charles didn't sell Teleglobe to a foreign entity he sold it to BCE (Bell Canada) which was already a 20% shareholder ans was on the board for many years before the transaction. Bell wasn't able to further the growth of the Company and when the bubble collapsed, so did Teleglobe revenues, BCE decided to let Teleglobe fall under bankruptcy, Teleglobe was acquired by another firm. Thereafter that firm was acquired later on by Tata (Indian Company).

Charles Sirois I do no trust. He was the head of Teleglobe, a great telecom company, all our own, all Canadian, and he sold it to the USA, and today it's gone, all our sea cables, and telecom equipment owned by India now I think.

Sirois is all about Sirois, and his money for himself and those like him who are wealthy. A real Canadian, a person concerned about his country and its citizens, would not have done to Teleglobe what this very typical rich person did, sell out for the money.
